Golwg y Cwm is situate on the edge of the tiny hamlet of Ponthirwaun in beautiful West Wales, midway between the Towns of Cardigan and Newcastle Emlyn. It is some two miles from the famous waterfalls at Cenarth, where Salmon and Sewin can be seen leaping the tumbling water at certain times of the year. It is a 15 minute drive from several beaches with soft sand and blue seas. There is always an opportunity to spot a Dolphin or a Seal, many of our visitors have enjoyed this experience. The Cardigan Bay Coastal Path is easily accessible, the start of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path is a short drive away. Indeed the cottage is situated in a perfect position to explore the wonderful attractions that West Wales has to offer the visitor.

The holiday cottage has three bedrooms, two doubles each with king size beds, and a twin room. A cot is available on request. All bedrooms have ample furniture to hold all the visitors personal effects. There is a fully tiled family bathroom, and a fully tiled shower room to the main bedroom. Bedlinen and towels are provided making your packing a lighter affair. All bedrooms and bathrooms are on the first floor. the arrangements make the cottage ideal for families and for couples sharing.
The cottage has a wonderfully snug lounge with two three seater sofas. There is a TV and DVD player and a well stocked bookcase complete with games and puzzles for the young ones. The woodburning stove, with plenty of wood available, makes the cottage ideally suitable for winter breaks. The full central heating system means the cottage is warm and comfortable all year through.
A particular feature of the holiday cottage is the large kitchen dining room. The dining table is large enough to accommodate all the visitors with plenty of room and comfort. A room to to enjoy yourselves chatting about the days adventures. The kitchen is fitted with an electric range style cooker, dishwasher, microwave oven, blender, fridge freezer and all the utensils and cutlery to make your stay comfortable and worry free. A high chair is provided for any little ones.
There is also a separate utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer and a separate sink. A door from the utility room leads to the rear garden.
All the flooring on the ground floor is either tiling or wood, making the cottage very easy to keep clean and tidy.
The rear garden is fully enclosed. There is a patio, accessed from the dining room by way of patio doors. Garden furniture to seat six, and a barbecue are provided. The garden slopes down to a small stream, which is outside the garden fence and accessed through a gate. A small wooden bridge crosses the stream, and gives access to a small wooded area, with a picnic table. There is a paddock behind the house accessed by a style, this is inhabited by a very friendly Shetland pony named secret, and a sheep names cloudy. Children love them, (and the adults!)
The front garden is unenclosed, there is ample parking for two cars, additional cars can be parked on the owners parking area adjoining.
One well behaved pet is allowed. There is a side gate access to an additional small paddock which can be used to exercise your pet without leaving the enclosure of the cottage. Children are also allowed to play in this area, or the paddock behind the cottage.
